The current Sobeys employee login screen is hosted by SAP SuccessFactors. It says “Welcome to your People Portal,” asks for an Employee ID, identifies the company as Sobeys, and shows a separate route for former employees who need pay and tax statements.
Use the Employee ID and password assigned to your work account. Do not enter your work password, Social Insurance Number, banking information, pay statement, or T4 into an independent website.
What Is the Sobeys People Portal?
The People Portal is a Sobeys employee self-service system used for work records and employee services. UFCW Local 401 documented the Safeway rollout on March 1, 2021 and reported that employees could use the new portal for personal information, pay statements, T4 income tax documents, employment verification letters, job postings, and company courses.

Not every employee should expect an identical menu. A worker’s banner, province, payroll group, job status, or assigned workforce system can affect the tools that appear after login. If your screen differs from an old screenshot, follow the options shown in your own employee account.
The People Portal is also different from a Sobeys customer account. A customer account is for shopping-related services. The employee system is tied to an employment record and workplace credentials.

The live SuccessFactors screen also provides a French option. It says the password assistant can reset a password but cannot reopen an account after that account has already been locked.
How to Sign In to the Sobeys People Portal in Canada
A normal Sobeys People Portal login for employees uses an Employee ID and the password attached to the employee account. The current SuccessFactors screen asks for an Employee ID before login.
- Open a current browser on a personal or approved workplace device.
- Use the employee portal link supplied by Sobeys.
- Check the destination before typing work credentials.
- Enter your Employee ID.
- Enter your current employee password.
- Select the login button and wait for the employee account to load.
- Open the employee service you need.
- Sign out when you finish, especially on a shared computer.
The login may move from a Sobeys address to a page on performancemanager4.successfactors.com. The current page on that domain identifies the company as Sobeys and displays SAP SuccessFactors branding.
A SuccessFactors address is therefore not automatically a fake Sobeys login page. Still, start from a Sobeys-issued employee link. Do not enter your Employee ID into an unfamiliar form simply because it appears in a search result.
Why does the Sobeys login open SuccessFactors?
SAP SuccessFactors currently hosts the Sobeys employee login screen. The live page identifies Company ID as Sobeys, asks for an Employee ID, and displays the People Portal welcome message.
What You Need Before Employee Login
You need the credentials tied to your employment record. Current employees should have their Employee ID, work-account password, official login route, and a current browser before they start.
- Your Sobeys Employee ID.
- The current password for your employee account.
- The employee portal link supplied by Sobeys.
- A trusted device if you plan to download payroll or tax documents.
An Employee ID is different from a Scene+ number. Sobeys’ 2026 Grocery Giveaways teammate rules say eligible teammates need a valid Scene+ account and must register the Scene+ number in “DayForce/People Portal.” That wording shows the Scene+ number and employee-system access are separate.
If you do not know your Employee ID, check your hiring or onboarding information. Ask your manager or HR contact if it was never given to you. Do not substitute a Scene+ number or customer account number.
Sobeys People Portal Login Register and New-Hire Access
A new Sobeys employee should get employee access through the hiring and onboarding process. A work account is tied to the employee record created by the employer.
- Check your onboarding email and hiring documents.
- Find the Employee ID assigned to your employment record.
- Look for the temporary password or first-login instructions supplied by Sobeys.
- Open the employee link given to you during onboarding.
- Complete any password setup shown by the official system.
- Ask your manager or HR for help if the Employee ID or login instructions are missing.
Search phrases like “Sobeys People Portal login register” usually mean a new employee wants first-time access. They do not prove that current employees can create a work account through a public registration form.

Sobeys People Portal Login Password and Account Problems
The current Sobeys login page gives a specific warning. Five failed login attempts can lock the account. The page also says the password assistant can reset a password but cannot reopen an account after lockout.
- Stop after the first few failed attempts.
- Check whether Caps Lock is on.
- Check the keyboard language.
- Type the password manually instead of using an old saved password.
- Confirm that the correct Employee ID is entered.
- Use the password assistant on the official login page when needed.
What to do when your account is already locked
The current People Portal login page says an IT Service Centre call is required after lockout. It currently lists the Solution Centre number as 1-877-425-1845 for technical difficulties.

Is There a Sobeys People Portal Login App?
Sobeys is moving more employee functions to Dayforce in some operations. UFCW Local 401 reported in February 2026 that Sobeys planned to roll out a single Dayforce mobile app for payroll, benefits, scheduling, timekeeping, training, shift offers and swaps, and workplace communications.
The same UFCW update said Safeway Okotoks had been piloting Dayforce since October 2025. Sobeys’ own 2026 teammate contest rules also use the wording “DayForce/People Portal” when describing where eligible teammates register a Scene+ number.
The current People Portal login still exists through SAP SuccessFactors, while Dayforce is being introduced for mobile employee functions in some Sobeys and Safeway operations. I could not verify that every Sobeys employee in Canada has Dayforce access.

People Portal Sobeys Paystub and Payroll
Employees often search for a “Sobeys paystub.” Sobeys’ documented People Portal material uses the term “pay statement.” The March 2021 rollout notice said employees could download pay statements, T4 income tax documents, and employment verification letters.
A pay statement normally covers one pay period and can show earnings, deductions, tax amounts, and net pay. The exact fields depend on the employee’s payroll record.

Sobeys T4 and Tax Documents
A pay statement and a T4 are different records. A pay statement covers a pay period. A T4 is a Canadian year-end tax slip that reports annual employment income and tax information.
The 2021 People Portal rollout notice specifically named T4 income tax documents as a portal function. Current employees can use our Sobeys T4 access guide for the detailed process.
Sobeys People Portal for Former Employees
The current SuccessFactors login page has a Former Employees section. It tells former employees to select Continue when they need access to pay and tax statements.
UFCW Local 401 published Sobeys-provided instructions for former Safeway employees in Alberta in February 2022. Those instructions sent former employees to the People Portal and then to the Former Employees area. They were written for people seeking their 2021 T4, so do not assume every screen or required field from 2022 is unchanged today.

SuccessFactors Sobeys Login, SAP, DayForce, and ESS People Portal
Several system names appear around Sobeys employee access. They are related to employee technology, but they are not interchangeable names.
SAP SuccessFactors
SAP SuccessFactors currently hosts the Sobeys employee login screen. The live page displays Company ID Sobeys, asks for an Employee ID, and welcomes users to the People Portal.
ESS
ESS means Employee Self Service. UFCW Local 401 reported in March 2021 that Sobeys was moving Safeway workers from the older ESS system to the People Portal. That notice gave March 22, 2021 as the ESS decommission date for the rollout it documented.

Dayforce
Dayforce is the newer workforce system name employees may encounter. UFCW Local 401 reported in February 2026 that Sobeys planned one Dayforce mobile app for payroll, benefits, scheduling, timekeeping, training, shift offers and swaps, and workplace communications.
The union also said Safeway Okotoks had piloted Dayforce since October 2025. Sobeys’ 2026 teammate contest rules provide another current data point because they tell eligible teammates to register a Scene+ number in “DayForce/People Portal.”
That wording shows both names are active in Sobeys employee administration in 2026. It does not prove that every employee uses the same screen or mobile app today.
People Portal Safeway and Other Sobeys Banners
Safeway has some of the clearest public People Portal documentation because the 2021 UFCW Local 401 announcement specifically covered a Sobeys rollout for Safeway workers.
FreshCo is owned by Sobeys, but ownership does not prove that every FreshCo, Foodland, Safeway, or Sobeys worker uses one identical employee login. Employee systems can differ by banner, province, payroll group, union agreement, or technology pilot.
Protect Your Employee and Payroll Information
The People Portal can contain private employee records. The 2021 rollout notice named pay statements, T4 documents, banking details, work permits, and Social Insurance Number documents among the records employees could manage.
- Start from a Sobeys-issued employee link.
- Check the destination before entering a password.
- Never type work credentials into an independent blog.
- Do not send a T4 or SIN through a public comment form.
- Save payroll files only on a device you trust.
- Sign out after using a shared computer.
